FM200 (FM-200®) is a clean, colorless, environmentally friendly, non-conductive and safe fire-retardant. It extinguishes the fire primarily through heat absorption, leaving no residue, thus minimizing downtime after a fire and making the FM200 suppression system acceptable and respected worldwide with over one hundred thousand installed in over seventy countries. Chemical properties of FM200 FM200 (HFC-227ea) is formed from the elements carbon, fluorine and hydrogen (CF3CHFCF3-heptafluoropropane). The main quenching mechanism of the FM-200® is the heat absorption, with secondary chemical contributions from the FM-200's thermal decomposition in flame. The FM-200 does not leave scum and is safe to use in occupied spaces. The most common metals, such as aluminum, brass, steel, cast iron, lead, stainless steel, and copper, as well as rubber, plastic and electronic components, are not affected by exposure to FM-200. Bien Dong Company supplies FM200 firefighting products and systems from original Kidde manufacturer from UK, US. The FM200 system was used on the rig of the customer partners.
